“Sanga Retreats first came into view with our host, Jamie Wood, leaning out from the gate looking for us. We felt very welcome and "received.”  The name itself evokes a sense of tranquility, safety and reverence.  It was very peaceful & we felt safe when we stayed in March.  The only issue was that we didn't want to leave.  The privacy of the pool/patio area, the beautiful decor and the warmth of our hosts were balm to weary bodies and spirits. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the stars and sun plentiful and birdsong a morning meditation.
Yoga sessions were designed to provide deep and abiding peace in a chaotic body & mind.  Within 3 days I had returned to my true self, my Sat Nam - at least briefly.  Our yoga practice is meant to be just that - a practice for real life, leading us ‘from the unreal to the real, from darkness to light and from the fear of death to the knowledge of our immortality.’

When we do this regularly, that is, every day, we will notice that we show up in a new way in our relationships, in our jobs and in the world.  Sanga Retreats gave me a rejuvenation that allowed me to re-enter the chaos that is part of everyday life, with a measure of calm.  Peace to all who enter that sacred space.

Jamie Wood


Jamie has been teaching and creating programs in the health and wellness industry for over 8 years. She specializes in Stress Management, and in 2014 created the Stress Management through Awareness (SMA) program.  She is a certified Arkaya teacher, Holistic Life Coach, Stress Management Consultant and has her BA in Finance from OUC.

After many years working in the high pressure world of Finance and Sales, she experienced first hand the effects stress can have on the body and mind.  It was from that point she shifted her career path and dedicated her education and time to helping others through Stress Management and Awareness.  She leaned on her experience and knowledge of the corporate world to create programs and environments that would cater to those who were looking for a personalized approach to managing stress.

Jamie Wood has over 500 certified hours in Stress Management, Awareness and Breathing Techniques.
