Laia Puig was introduced to yoga as a complementary practice to her dance career in 1998. However, it wasn’t until she took the Sivananda Yoga Teacher Training in 2008 in South India that her real initiation into yoga started.
Since then, she has been regularly practicing asanas, pranayama and meditation, reading the yogic philosophy and trying to understand and apply all that in her daily life; as well as teaching it to her students.
Laia took further trainings in Yoga Prenatal and Yoga for Kids, Yoga and Stress Management at the Sivananda Center in London; Advanced Teachers Training and Yoga Prenatal and Postnatal at the Sivananda Ashram in Orleans and Yoga of the Heart at the Sivananda Retreat House in Reith.
She feels very grateful to have the challenge to be on the path and to pass it to others.
In her classes, she teaches Sivananda Hatha Yoga tradition: proper breathing, proper exercise, proper relaxation and positive thinking.
